State of the Union ("Matzav HaUma"), the popular Israeli prime time comedy and satire TV show, is coming to New York for one night!
Just before their 7th season begins, Orna Banai, Einav Galili, Guri Alfi and the show's host Lior Schleien will be in NYC to share their thoughts and jokes about America and Israel, President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu, AIPAC and J-Street. Plus, they promise to bring with them from Israel lots of Bamba and Shkedei-Marak.
Matzav HaUma, which recently won the Israeli Academy Award for Best Comedy Show, is known for its sharp humor and original political analysis. Along with his panelists, Schleien provides a weekly satirical report on Israeli society and conducts witty interviews with Israel's leading politicians. Among last season's guests were President Shimon Peres and the American ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro. In another popular segment on the show the panelists roast celebrities, such as Bar Refaeli and Idan Raichel.
Recommended for 15 year olds and above.
Doors open at 7:00.
Most of the show will be in Hebrew.
