NYU Skirball Book Club launches in Fall 2019!

Before every Friday night show*, we’ll meet in the lobby for happy hour drinks and discussion. It’s an fun, informal way to find a new favorite book, meet people, and get your brain into gear for the show.

*Builder’s Association: Elements of Oz does not have a Friday performance, so we will have our final book club of the year on Saturday, Dec 7.

The working group in Drama, Theater & Performance Studies (DTAPS) seeks to provide a central forum for cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and practice at New York University.

Skirball Talks

Skirball Talks is a new series, featuring compelling and challenging thought leaders from the worlds of the arts, entertainment, media and politics. The series is free and open to the public. Skirball Talks launched on September 25, 2017 with author Ta-Nehisi Coates; the inaugural season also featured Tony Kushner, Lisa Kron, Slavoj Žižek, and Judith Butler.

The Skirball Talks series is made possible in part by a Humanities New York Action Grant and by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

NT Live

National Theater Live returns to NYU Skirball with screenings of acclaimed theater from the London Stage. Launched in 2009, National Theatre Live broadcasts have been seen by an audience of over 5 million people at 2000 venues in 50 countries.
