NYU Broadway Orchestra:
Anything Goes In Concert

To kick off the NYU Orchestras fall weekend at NYU Skirball, The NYU Broadway Orchestra in collaboration with the NYU Steinhardt Program in Vocal Performance, presents Anything Goes In Concert, conducted by Ana Flavia Zuim. Last seen on Broadway in 2011, Anything Goes is a musical theater classic, featuring such popular songs as “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re the Top,” and “Friendship.”

NYUO¹ performs
Verdi, Elgar, and Mendelssohn

Led by the NYU Orchestras’ Principal Conductor Adam Glaser, NYUO¹ returns to NYU Skirball with a program of orchestral favorites. The concert opens with Giuseppe Verdi’s Overture to La forza del destino, followed by Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto, featuring 2018 NYU Steinhardt String Concerto Competition Winner Tyler James. Concluding the concert, the orchestra treats listeners to Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4, the “Italian.”

A Holiday Spectacular:
Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Ellington

Kick off the holiday season with an NYU Orchestra Nutcracker extravaganza! Wayne DuMaine conducts NYUO² in a program that includes two Nutcracker Suites by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Duke Ellington. The concert opens with the exuberant Academic Festival Overture by Johannes Brahms.
