“Reaction, Reform & Reconciliation” is the final program in our 2020 series of DEBATE DEFENDS DEMOCRACY. Moderator, CNN Senior Political Analyst, John Avlon, in this special 75-minute edition, will revisit issues we have explored this year to consider what the founders would make of the institutions they designed at Federal Hall and the trajectory of history. Reacting to the weeks that have unfolded since the Presidential Elections, our panelists will discuss how reforms could steady our ship of state and how to reconcile a fractured populous to an outcome with which they may disagree.

DEBATE DEFENDS DEMOCRACY is presented by the National Parks of New York Harbor Conservancy at Federal Hall in partnership with New York University and the National Park Service.

This program is co-presented with the Brennan Center for Justice.
