If you’re picking up tickets from the box office, please arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime. The box office opens two hours before the curtain. For most events, the lobby opens one hour before the performance so patrons may enjoy our Lobby Café. The theater generally opens thirty minutes before the performance. Will-call tickets can be picked up at any time during box office hours, Tuesday through Saturday, 12 pm to 6:00 pm.

Out of respect for the artists and audience, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house management.

The B, D, F, A, C, and E all serve West 4th Street and are the shortest walking distance to the center on foot. Other trains within walking distance include N & R at 8th Street, 6 at Astor Place, 1 & 9 at Christopher Street and L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, 6 at Union Square. No, we do not provide coat check.

Yes, refreshments are available at our Lobby Café starting one hour before the event. Food and beverages are not permitted inside the theater.

Our programming is generally intended for audiences ages 15 and up. While children are not prohibited unless an event is designated 18+, parents and guardians are encouraged to review the event description and use their discretion when purchasing tickets. No children under 5 are permitted at Skirball Presents events.

Rush Tickets: Access $25* rush tickets in person on the day of the performance from the time the box office opens (usually 12 pm Monday to Sunday or 1 hour before the event) to the start of the show.

*All discounts are subject to availability. A $5 facility fee applies to all rush tickets. Rush tickets are not available for any event labelled “Skirball Access” or National Theatre Live screenings.

Yes, elevator service is available from the box office lobby/main entrance to the restrooms and orchestra seating in the lower lobby.

Accessible seat locations and restrooms are available to patrons who use mobility devices. Infrared Assistive Listening Devices are available free of charge at the Lobby Café in the lower level lobby. We require a photo ID for the security deposit. Our ALDs are Infrared Stethoset Headphones. Neckloops are available upon request, subject to supply permits.

Sound or video recording of any performance without the written permission of management is prohibited by law. Photos are allowed on handheld devices only when a performance is not in progress. Please also remember to turn off your cell phones or any electronic devices during performances.

NYU Skirball is NYU’s premier performing arts venue, located at the base of the Kimmel Center for University Life at 566 LaGuardia Place. We operate as part of the university while programming independently, presenting adventurous, transdisciplinary work from artists around the world. We’re also NYU’s largest classroom, with deep ties to the academic community through our Advisory Councils, Office Hours series, and Prep School study guides.

NYU Skirball is a professional presenting venue, not a student performance space. That said, we have strong ties to NYU’s academic and artistic community. Students engage with our programming through study guides, artist conversations, and discounted tickets. Our work regularly connects to research and practice happening across the university.
