The Employees is a dark satire investigation into the future, and of what it means to be human. Twarkowski utilizes multiple forms of media—theater, film, and installation—to construct a world in which the Earth no longer exists, only humans and humanoid robots on an interspace mission to explore a new planet. The crew’s reflections will push audiences to confront questions of identity and humanity, and their own possible futures—upon a visually stunning background.
