Pan Pan Theatre: Cascando

Accompany Samuel Beckett’s curious figures into an uncertain future. Attired in dark cloaks and given headphones, audiences are guided through Greenwich Village on this rhythmic, immersive, group walk. Each performance is limited to 18 participants.

Pan Pan Theatre brings visceral energy to Cascando, Beckett’s 1963 radio play, transforming it into an absorbing experience in which the audience is part of the spectacle. Featuring the melodic voices of Irish actors Andrew Bennett and Daniel Reardon, Cascando poetically pits words against music. This deeply riveting yet broken tale of a man hopelessly trying to finish a story is directed by Gavin Quinn with sound design and music by Jimmy Eadie.

About

CHEAT SHEET

We really love an adaptation! – especially one that breathes new life into a classic. Experience one of Beckett’s less-produced works in an exciting new format, with the intimacy of headphones bringing the radio play into contemporary parlance.

We love to expand our horizons! – in this case, Pan Pan Theatre moves beyond the proscenium & velvet seats and into the streets of NYC, for an immersive encounter with Beckett’s text.

Come and be a part of the glorious spectacle of Washington Square Park – who doesn’t want to don a mysteriously theatrical cloak and baffle the tourists?
