The Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were created in 1985 by the Off-Broadway League to recognize excellence Off-Broadway by honoring the invaluable contribution of artists to the theatre community.
Among the special honors to be presented at the 39th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards are:
- Ruben Santiago-Hudson to be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award
- Dominique Morisseau to be inducted onto the Playwrights’ Sidewalk
- Ars Nova to receive the Body of Work Award
